Vicky Kaushal is undoubtedly one of the most popular stars in Bollywood. He started his career with a bang in the critically acclaimed Masaan (2015) and has since impressed audiences with his versatility. An award-winner with a loyal fanbase, Vicky is one of the most exciting actors to watch in hindi cinema. However, before he became an actor, Vicky was an assistant director and worked on films like Gangs Of Wasseypur, which also got him arrested.

When the film completed 10 years since its release, the cast and makers were invited on Kapil Sharma’s show. The director, anurag kashyap then revealed, “We were shooting in a real location without permission. Once we were shooting we got to know that it’s illegal sand mining. Yes! Sand mining was being done by the mafia and during this time Vicky was arrested, but ‘Haramkhor’ director Shlok Sharma one-upped Vicky Kaushal. Moreover, he went to jail twice.”

Anurag Kashyap was joined by the show’s cast including Manoj Bajpayee, piyush Mishra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, vineet kumar and Pankaj Tripathi. vicky kaushal ventured into bollywood as an assistant director for this 2012 film and has since not looked back. The actor is celebrating his 36th birthday today, Thursday, May 16.

The movie will star Vicky as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while rashmika mandanna will step into the role of Yesubai Bhonsale. As the fans wait eagerly to see their favourite stars in an intense historical drama, vicky kaushal recently announced that he has wrapped shooting for the film. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and divya dutta in key roles. According to a report by Pinkvilla, actor Neil Bhoopalam has also been roped in to portray the character of a Mughal prince in the film. Chaava marks the second collaboration between vicky kaushal and director Laxman Utekar after Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on december 6, 2024.
