In a conversation with Filmfare, shruti said, 'I became very humble after my parents separated. When we came to mumbai from Chennai. It was not like we have come from one mansion to another. Living in mumbai was really not comfortable. But I am happy that I learned all this. From roaming everywhere in a Mercedes to traveling in a local train was a big change. I realized how we can learn from both these journeys.'
shruti further said that after staying away from chennai for some time, she reconnected with her Appa and then she went abroad to study music.
Apart from this, shruti said about attitude that she believes that initially she had attitude. shruti said that but this was not because she considered herself better than others, but she considered herself inferior and lacked confidence.
