However, even before that, he had been selected for a superhero film under the YRF banner.
According to bollywood Hungama, the project was a multipart superhero saga with Ahan in the lead role and ajay devgn playing the villain. Former Miss World Manushi Chillar was also cast in it. According to the report, a source had said in 2020, "It is true that Ahan Pandey and ajay Devgan will be seen together. ajay is playing the villain in this film, which will be grand and exciting to watch. It will be part of a superhero series, and each part will have a new villain."
Why couldn't Ahaan's film with ajay be made
Despite the buzz, the film didn't move beyond pre-production. Then in 2021, ajay devgn reportedly backed out of the film, citing scheduling issues as COVID-19 had disrupted many of his pending projects. After the film with ajay was cancelled, Ahaan changed his stance and joined director Shiv Rawail as an assistant director in The Railway Man.
After the release of the show in november 2023, Ahaan also shared an emotional post on Instagram, remembering the time spent on the set. In which he wrote, "I was working on a show about a group of brave people... It made me realize that this is the only way we can make our dreams come true... Sometimes life makes you think about where you are going, but at the same time, you need to look out of that window and see the beauty hidden in it."
'Saiyaara' has a strong opening
Ahaan Pandey has finally made his bollywood debut with 'Saiyaara'. This film was released in theatres on 18th July and it has defeated many films at the box office. Talking about the opening day collection of Saiyaara, according to the early trend report of Saccanilk, this film has earned 20 crores on the first day of its release.
