The film is directed by Ayan Mukherjee and is an important part of the YRF spy universe.
According to the report of 'Bollywood Hungama', CBFC has declared some dialogues in the film as wrong and ordered them to be muted. According to the information, dialogues have been changed in a total of six places, while a gesture made by a character in a scene was also asked to be removed. This gesture comes in the film a minute after a controversial dialogue. Apart from this, an obscene dialogue in the film has also been changed. After all these changes, the film was passed with a U/A 16+ certificate, suitable for viewers above 16 years of age.
The CBFC has also instructed to reduce some scenes of the film, calling them more 'sensitive'. Overall, about 9 seconds of 'sensual' footage have been removed from the film. It is believed that these cuts are related to kiara Advani's bikini sequence.
Initially, the total duration of the film was 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 49 seconds, but later the makers themselves cut it and reduced its duration to 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 44 seconds. This decision was not directed by the CBFC, but the production team made it on their own to make the film tighter and crisper.
In 'War 2', hrithik roshan will be seen in the role of 'Major Kabir Dhaliwal', while jr ntr is playing the role of another indian spy named 'Vikram'. In the story of the film, there will be a tremendous clash between the characters of Hrithik and Jr NTR.
'War 2' will be released in theaters on august 14, 2025, a day before Independence Day. The film is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'War', which starred hrithik roshan and tiger Shroff.
