A Joyous Phase for the Couple
Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are expecting their first child, adding special joy to this year’s Diwali.
Patralekhaa shared their excitement, saying, “We are super excited. Firstly, the baby’s coming, and also, professionally, our first production is going to come out.”
The couple is also editing their second film, marking a busy yet fulfilling time.
Patralekhaa called pregnancy a source of light this year and reflected on the physical and emotional changes during the nine months.
Spiritual diwali Traditions
The couple’s diwali celebrations have become more meaningful with the baby on the way.
Patralekhaa noted, “I don’t feel like it’s the two of us anymore because the baby is right there, ready to arrive.”
Both are spiritually inclined and perform diwali pujas every year since their wedding.
Rajkummar is particularly devoted to his home mandir, often cleaning it himself and meditating there.
Sometimes a pandit conducts the rituals; other times, Rajkummar performs the puja personally.
Heartwarming Pregnancy Announcement
The couple announced their pregnancy on instagram with a soft pastel-themed post.
The visual included a floral wreath and cradle with “Baby on the way” and their names.
Rajkummar captioned the post with a heartfelt “Elated ❤️❤️,” expressing their happiness.
A Decade of Love
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa met over a decade ago and grew closer while working on CityLights (2014).
They got married on november 15, 2021, in an intimate ceremony in Chandigarh.
Patralekhaa wore a red sari with a bengali verse on her veil; Rajkummar wore an elegant ivory sherwani.
