Janasana candidate in Guntakal constituency of Anantapur district Madhusudhan Gupta was jailed. Gupta came to the polling booth, the 183rd polling booth to Vote. He expressed anger at the polling staff that the names of the Legislative Assembly and Parliament were not properly written in the voting chamber.
Officials tried to convince him but he was reluctant to listen to them. Angry Gupta took an EVM Machine and smashed it to ground. The EVM broke down. Police immediately took him into custody. Janasana chief Pawan Kalyan, who cast his vote in the Vijayawada East constituency today said the action is wrong, but there is a need to know what actually happened there.
He said he would make no comments without knowing the full details. However, this work of the Janasena Candidate got so much of bad publicity for the party in the media as well as the social media. On the other side, Andhra Pradesh has recorded 46% of Voting by 1 PM according to the numbers of the Election Commission. A whopping 80+% is being expected this time.
