No sooner did Telangana government find evidence against TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, they immediately leaked the video to media and sent him behind the bars. Now the government is trying its level best to convict Revanth Reddy in this case and seal his future and Telugu Desam Party future permanently in Telangana.

However experts say Sting Operation video in Revanth Reddy's case may not help in convicting him. Supreme Court previously while hearing to a case of Ex-Union Minister, Dileep Singh Judhev said that Sting Operation videos can not be considered as evidences in deciding conviction in case. Here are the Supreme Court's statement in relation to that case.

"Sting Operations are done to pin down a person but at the same time opposite party is also resorting to a crime to dupe the target. Also the target in such cases is made to believe that he is not being seen by any one and may be baited something to perform a wrong or crime. In such case, dupping the target is also a crime. Our country can not accept sting operations as proofs like in the case of US".

Several lawyers are of the same opinion on this case. On the other side, Telangana government had roped in famous Criminal Lawyer, V.Madhusudhan Rao as the Special Prosecutor for Revanth Reddy's case. Earlier Madhusudhan Rao took up Balakrishna's firing case and successfully saved him despite all the evidences being against him then.
