Why is YS Jagan Mohan Reddy not open to a pre-poll alliance with any political party? Jagan desires to leave the door open for a post-poll alliance with the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the hot favorite to occupy the treasury benches in the Parliament.
The YSRCP president hints the same today. After exercising his franchise at Pulivendula Jagan spoke with media and clearly hints about post alliance with other parties.
Speaking to a leading news channel, YS Jagan looking upbeat dismissed reports of the election being a closely contested one. When asked if YSRCP comes to power in Seemandhra, who will they support in the centre, YS Jagan said that they are keeping all their options open.
"Why should we be in a hurry to support somebody? We have no pre-poll alliances or understanding with anybody," he said. He further added that the most important thing was the state, and the way the bifurcation took place was extremely cruel.
Jagan, time and again, has asserted that whoever guarantees the overall development of Andhra Pradesh will get his support. He has also not ruled out the possibility of alliance with the Sonia Gandhi-led Congress party.
