On Thursday, a member of Telangana's ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) used obscene language to criticise governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for delaying signing bills passed by the legislature. P. kaushik Reddy, a member of the state Legislative Council, is shown in a video uttering the derogatory telugu phrase, which has gone viral on social media and drawn criticism.

Right away, it was unclear to whom and when kaushik Reddy was speaking. On Republic Day, the governor indirectly criticised chief minister K. chandrasekhar Rao during her speech, exposing the MLC's use of improper language. When the governor refused to endorse the Cabinet's nomination of kaushik Reddy for the Legislative Council under the Governor's quota in the social service category in 2021, tensions between the BRS administration and her first surfaced. The BRS government sent kaushik Reddy to the upper house in accordance with the Members of Legislative assembly (MLAs) quota when the governor took too long to clear the file.

In the meantime, the bjp has vehemently responded to kaushik Reddy's use of derogatory language against the Governor. D. K. Aruna, the vice president of the bjp at the national level, urged the chief minister to immediately expel him from the organisation. According to Aruna, the bjp will organise statewide rallies if the chief minister did not address the insult to a female governor.
