The state saw relief from the rain on saturday after it poured nonstop for four days. This will only be a temporary solace, as the india Meteorological Department (IMD) in hyderabad predicts severe rain and drizzle over the next five days. IMD predicts that Telanagana will likely see heavy rainfall from July 24 to July 26 due to the likelihood of a low-pressure region forming over the ocean.

Rescue crews provided help to anyone impacted by the rains in the meantime. A person was saved by the Disaster and Response Force (DRF) team of the ghmc when a tree fell on a car in the Kushaiguda neighbourhood of the city. Constant rains over the past several days have made life miserable for the populace as colonies have flooded as a result of water bodies overflowing in various areas of the city.  It was impossible for people to even walk on the roadways as knee-deep water from Mallampet Lake in Dundigal covered the neighbouring residential neighbourhoods.


A boat was used by the police, revenue officials, and fishermen to transport 200 persons from 50 households who were stuck in the water in Mallampet and surrounding colonies to a rain shelter. After the gates of Saroornagar Lake were opened on Friday, a similar situation existed at VV nagar Colony.
