In light of the Munneru rivulet being in spate and spilling over the National Highway 65 near Keesara village of Nandigama mandal in ntr district, the andhra pradesh police has recommended travellers travelling between hyderabad and vijayawada / Visakhapatnam to use other routes. As a result, it was forbidden for automobiles to go on NH 65 via Keesara hamlet.

Authorities have asked people to take the following route: hyderabad – Narketpally – Miryalaguda, Dachepally, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli – guntur – vijayawada – eluru – rajahmundry – Visakhapatnam. If passengers need any information on the route they could contact police control room on 73289-09090.

The district government increased attempts to move inhabitants to relief camps while the River Munneru was in spate in Khammam, flooding numerous colonies along its banks. Munneru was at a risky point. At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the river's flood level was 30.70 feet, while the second warning level was 24 feet and increasing. The relief efforts were being seen by district collector VP Gautham, Commissioner of police Vishnu S Warrier, and assistant collector Radhika Gupta. Residents in flood-affected colonies did not transfer to relief facilities despite warnings and repeated calls.
