JP said that building the hyderabad Metro near the ORR, where there is a low population density, would be a grave error. He questioned where the money would come from without the passengers. To provide seamless connectivity to passengers, they could instead enable integration of the rtc services, MMTS, and hyderabad Metro.
Although it is important to upgrade the public transport system, it would be preferable if commuters could take a pleasant journey without having to walk far between destinations. He noted that even senior authorities prefer using metros while visiting foreign nations due to their ease.
He recommended that the Metro rail be built initially inside the boundaries of the GHMC, then in areas with high population density, severe rush hour traffic, and commuting difficulty. The authorities should also work with other public transport providers like MMTS and rtc bus services to coordinate smooth connections. Additionally, parking spaces should be offered. He emphasized that while funds are limited and requirements are limitless, money should always be used wisely to produce the best outcomes.
It is important to note that JP criticized the BRS administration for spending a lot of money on the kaleshwaram project since it would simply serve as a white elephant and not generate enough profits. He noted that the cost of the electricity required to lift the water would be greater than the profits farmers might expect from the crop irrigated as a result of the project.
