According to CNN, a 34-year-old lady in the US state of Arizona is accused of trying to murder her husband by adding bleach to his coffee every day for many months. After her husband provided authorities with a video of her allegedly pouring bleach into his coffee pot, Melody Felicano Johnson of Tucson was indicted by a grand jury for attempted first-degree murder, attempted aggravated assault, and administering poison to food or drink.

In March, when they were both stationed in Germany, the husband, Roby Johnson, began to notice a bad taste in his coffee, according to court records acquired by CNN affiliate KVOA. Using pool testing strips, US air Force member Roby Johnson discovered extremely high chlorine levels in his coffee maker.

Roby Johnson installed a covert camera to learn the truth, and it caught his wife adding an unknown ingredient to the coffee maker. Surprisingly, he made the decision to keep drinking the coffee in order to gather information before submitting a police report after they were back at Davis Monthan air Force Base in the US.

Melody was shown pouring bleach into a bottle and then adding it to the coffee maker in the film that Roby Johnson, who had returned to the US, had recorded over the course of many days using a number of concealed cameras. Investigators think she intended to murder him in order to claim death benefits.

Melody Johnson entered a not-guilty plea during the court on Friday. She has a public defender assigned to her, but he or she has not yet spoken on the matter. She is currently detained at the Pima County Jail until her upcoming court date of september 6. According to court documents, her bond has been set at $250,000. Due to Melody Johnson's recent purchase of a home in the philippines close to her family and the likelihood for her to escape the country, prosecutors argued for a large bail.
