The All india congress Committee (AICC) chief mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday, august 26, released the party’s 12-point ‘SC, st declaration’, just a few months ahead of the telangana Assembly elections. The declaration was launched at the grand old party’s ‘Praja Garjana‘ public meeting held at Chevella.

A revanth Reddy, the head of the TPCC, read aloud each of the declaration's 12 points, including the 18 percent reservation for Scheduled Castes, the 12 percent reservation for scheduled tribes, the Rs. 12 lakh per family provided to SCs and STs, the 18 percent and 12 percent reservations in state government contracts, the reservations for SCs and STs in private schools and private businesses receiving government benefits, and the land for the landless, Rs 6 lakhs help for construction of houses, full proprietary rights on assigned lands given to SCs and full proprietary rights on Podu lands to STs, Rs 25 lakhs per annum each for the development of all Tribal thanks and 3 sc corporations each (Mala, Madiga, other sub-castes) with a budget of Rs 750 cr and 3 st corporations, each with a budget of Rs 500 cr.

For STs residing in the plains of the districts of Nalgonda, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Nizamabad, and Mahaboobnagar, the proclamation also calls for the building of 5 new Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDA) and 9 super specialty hospitals. remarked Revanth. The congress pledged to provide Rs 10,000, Rs 25,000, Rs 1 lakh, and Rs 5 lakhs for sc and st students who successfully finish their 10th grade, graduation, post-graduation, M-Phil, and Ph.D., respectively. Additionally, it promised the creation of residential schools, one Gurukul school each Mandal, payment of tuition, housing for graduate and post-graduate students, and financial aid for international study.
