The central government has cut the prices of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 200 on the occasion of Raksha

Bandhan and Onam. Also, the government has decided to give Rs 400 cheaper cylinders to the beneficiaries of the

PM Ujjwala scheme. This step of the Modi government is being seen as a big relief for 33 crore domestic LPG

cylinder consumers. At the same time, uttarakhand cm Pushkar Singh Dhami has dated PM Modi for this step of

the central government. In his tweet on Twitter, the cm has written that on behalf of the people of uttarakhand, I

thank PM Modi. This will give relief to 33 crore people.


Decision taken in cabinet meeting

In the cabinet meeting chaired by PM narendra Modi, it was decided to reduce the price of LPG gas cylinders.

Giving information about this, Union Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur said that the central

government has decided to give LPG cylinders at Rs 200 cheaper to all LPG consumers. With this decision of the

government, there will be an additional burden of Rs 7680 crore on the exchequer in 2022-23. At the same time,

the government has also decided to provide free gas connections to 75 lakh women. After this decision of the Modi

government, the number of beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will increase to 10.35 crore.
