The fate of all 10 Ghosi candidates is sealed in the EVMs. Counting of votes will take place on September
10, but the question remains among the people that who will benefit from less votes?
Mayawati's core voters played the game
Mayawati's party BSP had kept its distance in the Ghosi by-election, but the party's announcement at the last
moment surprised everyone. BSP appealed to its voters not to vote.
In the 2022 elections, the BSP candidate got about 55 thousand votes. Till now the core voters of BSP have
been shifting to BJP. In 2022, 6 percent of BSP votes shifted to NDA. dara singh had an eye on BSP voters
in Ghosi too, but at the last moment the party's strategy turned many equations upside down.
Resentment in bjp cadre, core voters did not turn out
News of resentment among the bjp cadre started coming after dara singh Chauhan was made the candidate.
Many upper caste leaders of the party had publicly sounded the alarm.Rebel from bjp, Ujjwal Mishra had
also come to file his nomination, but due to his name not being in the voter list, his nomination was rejected.
Mishra kept campaigning against Dara till the last moment.Experts say that BJP's core upper caste voters in
Ghosi remained indifferent about voting.
