SP’s sudhakar Singh Ghosi was in the fray in the by-election as a candidate of india alliance. Before the 2024 Lok

Sabha elections, this by-election was also being seen as a litmus test of the nda vs india alliance. The Congress,

Left parties and Aam Aadmi party, the constituents of the All india Alliance, did not field their candidates from

this seat and supported sudhakar Singh. These parties had also campaigned for them under opposition unity. Thus,

in the form of sudhakar Singh, the india alliance with the opposition constituents has won this seat, which is a big

sign for the NDA. With this success of the india Alliance, speculations are being made whether this group of many

opposition parties will really challenge the nda in 2024.

These 10 candidates tried their luck in Ghosi

A total of 10 candidates tried their luck in the by-election, including sudhakar Singh from SP, Dara Singh

Chauhan from BJP, Sanaullah from Peace party, Afroz Alam from Jan Adhikar party, Independent candidate

Vinay Kumar, Independent candidate Pravendra Pratap Singh, Independent candidate Ramesh Pandey, Janta

Munnilal Chauhan from kranti Party (Nationalist), sunil Chauhan from Jan Rajya party and Rajkumar Chauhan

from Aam Janta party (Socialist) were in the fray.
