Pradesh who are recovering from the disaster. chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu donated an amount of Rs
51 lakh from his three personal accounts to the chief minister Disaster Relief Fund- 2023. Chief Minister
Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu along with his wife Kamlesh Thakur gave this check to Chief Secretary Prabodh
Saxena. Himachal chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is a fourth-time mla and has become the Chief
Minister for the first time. While being an mla, cm Sukhu kept traveling in an ordinary Alto car and even after
becoming the chief minister, he reached the assembly session in an Alto car.
CM Sukhu donated Rs 51 lakh
Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that at this time of disaster, even small children
are breaking their piggy banks and donating to the disaster relief fund. So in such a situation, he also thought that
he should also help the state recovering from the disaster in Himachal Pradesh. The chief minister said that after
checking his three accounts, he donated this amount to the Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. Chief Minister
Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that even during the previous Jairam government, he had donated his salary to the
Covid Relief Fund during the Corona period. During this, deputy chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Health
Minister Dr. Dhaniram Shandil, Agriculture minister Chandra Kumar, education minister Rohit Thakur and
Rural Development minister Anirudh Singh were also present. chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has been
continuously demanding from the central government to declare the disaster in Himachal as a national disaster,
but till now this has not happened. He has expressed hope that the central government will help Himachal.
