The Bandlaguda-Errakunta route in the Old City is now undergoing road widening construction by the Greater hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The Barkas-Pahadishareef road will be connected by widening the existing road by 100 feet. The ghmc had successfully acquired about 100 properties on the about 3-kilometre road stretch. After completion, the road will serve as an important connecting road for small and big vehicles to ply between the inner ring road (Aramgarh – Chandrayangutta – L B Nagar) and the srisailam Road (Chandrayangutta – RGI airport via Pahadishareef).

Only tiny cars have used the road thus far. "Heavy vehicles, including buses, will go via the road once it has been extended to 100 feet. Additionally, it will reduce the distance for bus passengers, according to local councilman Abdul Wahab. The locals believe that the road widening was urgently needed since it would help to increase the value of the real estate in the colonies that are located on each side of the road.

To redirect the rainwater, the HMWS&SB and ghmc undertook significant pipeline laying projects on the road. The business will begin work on installing the newest street lights after finishing the road expansion project. Along with beautifying efforts, the ghmc is building a boardwalk around the Noori Shah Tank, which is situated along the route.
