On Saturday, a video showing a vegetable vendor roaming sircilla town selling alcohol with vegetables on his push cart as a form of protest against the state government's ban on alcohol went popular on social media in the Rajanna sircilla area. Somishetty Dasharatham, a resident of Shanti nagar in sircilla town, who is being represented by IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, was identified as the seller. He may be heard yelling, "Prajala vaddaku kcr liquor bottles" (KCR liquor at the door), in the film. Prices for beer, brandy, whisky and vegetables have decreased.

People in the colonies and onlookers were taken aback by Dasharatham's original protest, which caused snickers and laughter. When some onlookers enquired as to why he was selling alcohol alongside vegetables in his cart, he responded that he had chosen to protest the BRS government's implementation of the state's liquor policy in a novel way to draw attention to it and inform people at a time when alcohol was flowing freely.

He said that if the BRS were to win a third straight election, the entire state would become the "booziest state," with many individuals developing alcohol addictions and one-third of the women becoming widows. By sharing the video of Dasharatham on social media, several people showed their support for his creative protest.
