Former congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu has strongly attacked the Bhagwant Mann
government of Punjab. Targeting the AAP government regarding debt, he said that the government
runs on income and not on debt. I.N.D.I.A alliance aside, but I will keep speaking on the condition
of Punjab. Sidhu said, I.N.D.I.A alliance is not for changing the prime minister, but for making the
chief minister of Punjab. The congress leader has raised questions on the loans taken by the
punjab government and the money coming into the treasury going somewhere else. Not only this,
Sidhu has asked chief minister Bhagwant Mann to take charge in the times to come.
governor Banwari Lal Purohit’s questions are correct
Along with this, Navjot Sidhu said that the questions of governor Banwari Lal Purohit are correct.
He has asked very sharp questions. You have taken a loan of Rs 50 thousand crore in two years. If
we invest half yearly then there is another Rs 17 thousand crores. When the budget is presented
next year, this amount will be Rs 70 thousand crores. If we talk about Akali Dal, it had a debt of Rs
15 thousand crores, when the Captain government came to power in 2007, it had a debt of Rs 30
thousand crores. Akali Dal raised Rs 1.5 lakh crore in 10 years. congress has raised Rs 1 lakh crore
in 5 years, but at the rate at which AAP is taking loans, punjab will become poor.
PSPCL gave free electricity against mortgage
Sidhu said, what would you do if the government of india fixed the limit and left you not eligible
to take loan. This government is not running on income, it is running only on debt. Sidhu said that
PSPCL is being given free electricity on mortgage. The liability of banks is Rs 18 thousand crores.
9 thousand crore rupees were taken for meters, no one knows where they were used. RBI stopped,
they asked, please tell where the experiments were done. While speaking on the I.N.D.I.A alliance,
Navjot Sidhu said that the alliance is being held at the national level and its objective is to change
the prime minister and not to make him the chief minister of Punjab. That is a different issue, I am
with whatever decision the High Command takes, but I will raise my voice on whatever is wrong in
the case of Punjab. There will be no compromise where the issue of punjab is discussed.
