On Thursday, a Ganesh laddu at Richmond Villas in sun City, bandlaguda jagir, broke all auction records when it sold for an astounding Rs.1.25 crore. The laddu sold for around Rs. 65 lakh last year. As part of the celebrations, the residents of Richmond Villas organize an annual Ganesh Laddu auction. The organizers claim that the proceeds from the auction are donated to charitable causes, such as funding for NGOs that provide food assistance, healthcare, and educational opportunities. The organizers urged all gated communities to contribute to charity, stating that "the entire money raised from the auctioning will go there."
The Ganesh Laddu sale at Richmond Villas in Suncity broke the previous record for all of Hyderabad. The laddu was just purchased for a staggering Rs 1,26 crores. This is the most money ever spent on a Laddu in Hyderabad. The 5-kg ladu has sparked some type of frenzy. With this year's auction at Richmond Villas, the 5-KG laddu's price has increased by a factor of two from last year's sale price of Rs 60.48 lakh. 

According to the Villa administration, the proceeds from this year's auction will go to charity. The price of the renowned Balapur Laddu was Rs. 27 lakh. The Balapur Laddu has also reached a new peak with this.
