
The disciplinary committee of the bharatiya janata party (BJP) has issued notices to 8 leaders for their
involvement in anti-party activities in the kashmir Valley. This development comes after the investigation into
the activities of senior leader Sofi Yusuf last month on allegations of anti-party activities.
BJP has issued notices to party spokesperson Altaf Thakur, Manzoor Bhat, district President ali Mohammad
Mir, GM Mir, senior leaders Asif Masoodi, Arif Raja, Anwar Khan and Bilal Parre. The notice said that while
investigating the indiscipline against Sophie Yusuf, it came to the notice of the disciplinary committee that
these leaders were involved in anti-party activities and serious allegations and evidence of indiscipline were
found against each of them.
What was said in the notice?
The notice reads, Your activities have caused a feeling of distrust in the party leadership. Considering your
position in the party and your past contributions, the disciplinary committee has directed you to tender an
unconditional apology for your conduct and refrain from doing so in future. It has been decided to give you
an opportunity to join. Failure to do so, the Disciplinary Committee will initiate regular action against you and
may remove you from official posts and even primary membership if charges of indiscipline are proved.
Party said to submit affidavit
The party has asked the leaders to tender an unconditional apology and give an undertaking not to indulge in
any such activity in future and submit it to the party president within a week from today. bjp disciplinary
committee includes president sunil Sethi and members Aseem Gupta and rekha Mahajan. It is not clear what
is the nature of the anti-party activities and to whom has the notice been served? It is noteworthy that bjp is
facing a tussle between old and new leaders in the state.
