In the last assembly elections in Rajasthan, there have been some seats where NOTA got more votes than those
who won the elections. This time, churning has started between both bjp and congress parties regarding
candidates for those seats. Because, according to party sources, these seats are in the danger zone. They will get
relief only by change of candidates. Therefore, many surveys have been conducted in the party regarding those
seats. New names can be fielded there. There are more than 10 such assembly seats. The seats are Bundi,
Chaumun, Bengu, Asind and Marwar Junction. This time the high command of both the parties is keeping an eye
on these seats.
The equation is something like this
In Rajasthan, where in the 2013 assembly elections, 5 lakh 89 thousand 923 voters had pressed the NOTA button,
in the year 2018, 4 lakh 67 thousand 785 had exercised the NOTA right. This figure was 1 lakh 22 thousand 147
less than the last time, but it was heavy for many leaders. While bjp got 46.05 percent votes in the assembly
elections in the year 2013, it got 38.8 percent votes in the year 2018. While congress had got 33.17 percent votes
in the year 2013, it was only 39.3 percent in the year 2018. Whereas 1.65 percent votes went to NOTA account.
Whereas the difference of victory and defeat between the two parties has been close to 0.5.
NOTA worked wonders on these seats
In the year 2018, a total of 1692 votes were cast for NOTA in Bundi assembly seat. Whereas this seat was won by
only 713 votes. But the huge victory that bjp had won in the two elections has now reduced. Therefore, party and
district leaders are looking for a new candidate here. In 2013 also, 4,716 votes went to NOTA on this seat.
Similarly these seats are being affected. In which Rajendra Vidhuri of congress won the Begun assembly seat by
1661 votes, but his seat and NOTA got 3165 votes. Here too this time there is a tough fight. BJP's Jabbar Singh
won the Asind assembly seat by 151 votes and NOTA got 2943 votes.
