After the strictness of cm Yogi Adityanath in the matter of digging a seven kilometer long road with JCB in
Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, the government seems to be active and strict. After the order of cm Yogi,
the administration has registered an FIR in the matter and taken necessary steps to recover the compensation. This
case pertains to Katra assembly constituency of shahjahanpur district, where highway widening work was going
on. It is being told that on october 2, Jagveer Singh, along with some people, pretending to be the representative
of mla Veer vikram Singh, beat up the employees of the plant and drove them away from there. After that he
dug about 500 meters of road with JCB. His action not only resulted in loss of revenue but also resulted in loss of
government property. A case has also been registered against this on behalf of Gorakhpur firm M/s Shakuntala
Devi.
FIR lodged
In this case, police have registered a case against 20 people including Jagveer Singh under sections 147, 186, 323,
506, 427 of IPC and Disposal of Public Property Act. At the same time, compensation for the loss of public
property will also be made from the accused. In this case, the Chief engineer of PWD has been instructed to
assess the damaged road and submit a compensation report.
PWD department in support of action
PWD's XEN Rathin Sinha said that 'FIR has been lodged in Jaitipur police station by M/s Shakuntala Devi who is
doing the work. Now the police have to do their work. Construction work will start again from today. DM
Shahjahanpur had formed a team of Tilhar Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar. The team has submitted its report. On
the other hand, Katra mla has called this entire matter a conspiracy.
