Reportedly State education minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that the IB syllabus will provide quality international education to students from all sections of AP. Going into details, ap education minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that they are bringing many changes in the education sector of the state and their government is taking steps to provide quality education to all the students. The minister explained that with the implementation of international Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum in 45,000 government schools in andhra pradesh, students from all walks of life will receive education equal to international standards and this is also the government's goal. Botsa Satyanarayana, who spoke to the media at the Integrated Correctional Office, said that the state would spend only ₹149 crore to bring IB to students in a period of five years.
The minister stated that unlike other states, the IB syllabus is being implemented only in selected schools. He said that IB labs will be set up before schools of andhra pradesh collectively implement the curriculum, and an organization has come forward to train students for free. The minister said that every rupee spent by the government on education becomes a boon to the economically disadvantaged students. He said that their aim is to prepare the students studying in government schools to compete with corporate educational institutions.
The minister explained that the government has initiated a major change in the education system in the state with the determination to increase the facilities and provide the right platform to the students so that they can shine in their education and future careers. He said things like introduction of Test of english as a Foreign language (TOEFL) from Class 3, distribution of pre-loaded tabs with Baiju content to Class 8 students, installation of Smart TVs-Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) in classrooms are some of the decisions that will help the government achieve its goal. Botsa Satyanarayana stated that maintaining complete transparency is always the prime duty of the government.
