95.49 percent of the people of bihar do not have any vehicle while only 3.8 percent have two-wheelers and
0.11 percent have cars. This information is given in the detailed report of caste based survey (Bihar Caste

The report said that 45.78 lakh people are working in other states while 2.17 lakh people are living abroad.
3.8 percent population owns a two-wheeler
In this report presented in both the houses of bihar Legislature on tuesday, it has been said that out of
13.07 crore people of the state, 12.48 crore people do not have any vehicle. According to this, only 49.68
lakh people or about 3.8 percent of the population have two-wheelers while only 5.72 lakh people or 0.11
percent of the population have four-wheelers. According to the report, only 1.67 lakh people or 0.13
percent have tractors.
3.5 percent people are working in other states
According to the report, out of 2.01 crore people of general category, a total of 11.99 lakh own two-
wheelers. It said that out of 2.17 lakh people who have gone abroad, 23,738 people are pursuing higher
education. Among those working in other countries, 76,326 people belong to the general category. It has
been said in the report that 45,78,669 people of bihar i.e. 3.5 percent of the population are working in other
states. The bihar government on tuesday presented a report in the Legislature on the economic condition
