Politicians in hyderabad are targeting apartments to seek votes as election day approaches. With over a lakh flats in the city, each housing a diverse group of individuals, candidates are attempting to identify who their prospective supporters are based on factors such as caste and community. Politicians are visiting residences, talking with inhabitants, and pledging changes to connect with voters. Some even promise to install CCTV cameras, sports equipment, and music systems and tiny gyms for social gatherings.

Apartments have emerged as a critical battlefield. Candidates are not just speaking with individuals, but also with apartment associations, which are organisations of people who represent everyone who lives in an apartment. These organisations are presenting their issues, seeking answers, and becoming key decision-makers in the election. Candidates are also expanding their attempts to include colony organisations, caste groupings, and women and youth organisations. To gain an advantage, some candidates arrange to provide vital supplies through community leaders right before voting day.
