Earlier, Chief Electoral Officer of madhya pradesh Anupam Rajan had sent information about this matter to the
Election Commission in the morning itself. Considering this as a procedural error in the report, Nodal Officer
Tehsildar Himmat Singh Bhavedi was informed about his suspension. It was also told in the report that the
confidentiality of the postal ballot has not been breached. Anupam Rajan has said that now action will be taken
as per the instructions received from the Commission.
District election Officer admitted procedural error
At the same time, Balaghat district election Officer Dr. Girish Mishra has admitted that a procedural error has
occurred in this case. The strong room was to be opened at 3 pm, which was opened ahead of time at 1:31 pm.
According to the rules, the postal ballots that came in the strong room at 3 pm on december 2, a day before the
counting of votes, were to be shorted, but the bundles of postal ballots were being made as per the routine
process in the presence of all the political parties. He had no information about the opening of the strong room.
