
The winter session of maharashtra Legislature will start from december 7 in Nagpur. This decision has been
taken in the meeting of the business Advisory Committee. chief minister Eknath Shinde and both the Deputy
Chief Ministers were also present in this meeting. This session will start from 7th december and continue till
20th December. Meanwhile, opposition leader Vijay Wadettiwar has expressed his displeasure over the duration
of this session. leader of Opposition in the state assembly Vijay Wadettiwar on wednesday expressed
dissatisfaction over the duration of the upcoming winter session of the state legislature and said only 10 working
days are not enough to discuss key issues. Speaking to reporters at the State Legislative Building complex here,
he also accused the Eknath Shinde government of not being serious about holding the winter session of the
Legislature. The winter session will be held in Nagpur, the second capital of maharashtra, from december 7 to
20.
What did Vijay Wadettiwar say?
Vijay Wadettiwar said, “The maharashtra government has kept only 10 working days for the upcoming winter
session. We are completely dissatisfied with this. We want to discuss unseasonal rains, corruption in
administration and other important issues, but the government has decided to allow only 10 days for the House,”
said the congress MLA representing Brahmpuri assembly constituency in Chandrapur district. Our demand is
that there should be at least 15 working days in the winter session. We don't know whether the next budget
session will be of a few days or of a longer duration.
