punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has given a big gift to the employees on the New Year. The DA of
employees has been increased by 4 percent from december 1, 2023. The decision was taken in a meeting with
representatives of punjab State Ministerial service Union. cm Mann himself posted the information about
increase in DA on social media site X.
While posting, cm Mann wrote, Yesterday held a meeting with the representatives of punjab State Ministerial
service Union and discussed their issues in detail. I am sharing a big good news that we are going to give a New
Year gift to the employees. In DM An increase of 4 percent is made which will be considered effective from
december 1, 2023.
Assurance of giving eight percent DA soon
punjab State Ministry Allied services Union President Amrik Singh said that after the increase, DA will increase
to 38 percent. The decision in this regard was taken after a meeting here with representatives of PSMSU. During
the meeting, cm Mann discussed various demands of the employees. After the meeting, PSMSU President said
that chief minister Bhagwant Mann assured that the remaining eight percent DA will also be given soon.
Employees were demanding release of 12 percent DA
The PSMSU president said that the employees were demanding implementation of the old pension scheme, release
of pending 12 percent DA and regularization of contractual employees. PSMSU on sunday suspended its more
than a month-long strike, which started on november 8. He had postponed his strike before the meeting with the
Chief Minister. At present this increase will be applicable from December.
