Madhya Pradesh High court, while hearing a petition related to Peethadhishwar Pandit Dhirendra krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham, has issued contempt notice to internet media Facebook, YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) and sought their response. It has been alleged in the petition that despite the clear order of the court, the objectionable comments made by former mla RD Prajapati and others against acharya Dhirendra krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham have not been removed from the social media.

Petitioner's advocate Pankaj Dubey said that the single bench of Justice Rajmohan Singh, while hearing the case on Wednesday, has issued contempt notices to internet media Facebook, YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) and sought answers from their responsible officials.

Accused of propagating misleading videos

Ritika Gupta along with advocate Pankaj Dubey presented her side in the court on the petition filed by Ranjit Singh Patel, a disciple of acharya Dhirendra krishna Shastri. It has been alleged in the petition that misleading videos are being propagated on social media against Pandit Dhirendra krishna Shastri without checking. He argued that acharya Dhirendra krishna Shastri is the Peethadhishwar of Bageshwar Dham, Chhatarpur. He is a revered saint of Sanatan dharma and his glory is spread all over the world. The petitioner alleges that being unhappy with the eccentricity of acharya Dhirendra krishna Shastri, former mla Prajapati maliciously published and disseminated objectionable posts and news in the internet media. In this case, the High court, in the order passed on december 4, had given orders to remove the objectionable comments with immediate effect. But as no action was taken, a contempt petition has been filed.
