There is great news for lakhs of people of Delhi. delhi government will start One Time Water Settlement Scheme very soon. This is because delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal has presented a calling attention motion during the budget session in the assembly to implement the 'One Time Settlement' scheme of wrong water bills. The proposal was passed by voice vote in the house on Tuesday.

After the resolution was passed in the delhi assembly, the cm claimed, "This scheme was not being implemented by the officials, but people troubled by water bills do not need to pay wrong bills. The government will ensure that the scheme is not being implemented by the officials." The Jal Board's One Time Settlement Scheme will be implemented." He said that there are more than 27 lakh water consumers in Delhi. Out of these, 18.5 lakh consumers are not paying the bills. The chief minister said that the Water Board had passed this scheme on june 13, 2023. It was to be brought to the cabinet for implementation, but when its file was sent to the Finance Secretary, he said that I will not comment on this file. After this, Urban Development minister Saurabh Bhardwaj asked the Secretary of the Urban Development Department in writing to bring it to the cabinet, but he refused to do so.

Will protest if the plan is not implemented

chief minister arvind kejriwal said that when he talked to the officers regarding this scheme, they said that they had no information about it. The chief minister said that if the Lieutenant governor makes a call to the officials, the work will be done immediately. Therefore they request the Lieutenant governor to intervene in this matter. A constitutional crisis has arisen in Delhi. The cm also urged leader of Opposition Ramveer Singh Bidhuri to talk to the Lieutenant governor to implement this scheme. For this they will also give him full credit. During this, he also said that if this scheme is not implemented, he will protest.
