The supreme court, while giving an important decision on tuesday (February 20), declared aam aadmi party (AAP) councilor kuldeep Kumar as the Mayor of Chandigarh. delhi Chief minister and AAP national coordinator arvind kejriwal has reacted to this decision.

arvind kejriwal said, "Kuldeep Kumar is a boy from a poor family. On behalf of india alliance, many congratulations on becoming the Mayor of Chandigarh. This became possible only because of indian democracy and the Honorable supreme Court. We have to preserve the impartiality of our democracy and autonomous institutions under any circumstances.

Meanwhile, punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann said that ultimately truth has prevailed. We welcome the decision of the supreme court regarding the mayor elections in Chandigarh. Upholding the 8 votes rejected by the presiding officer, the CJI declared AAP's kuldeep Kumar as mayor. They have got a befitting reply to the hooliganism openly committed by BJP. He defeated AAP and congress candidate kuldeep Kumar. Kumar got 12 votes.
