The protesting farmers rejected the Centre's proposal to purchase pulses, maize and cotton crops through government agencies at minimum support price for five years. Along with this, the farmers on wednesday announced to move forward on their delhi Chalo march. On wednesday, farmers will try to move towards the capital. At the same time, the police is trying to not allow farmers to enter the capital. For this, delhi has been converted into a fort. It will not be easy for the farmers to penetrate this fort of security.

At the same time, advisory has also been issued by delhi Traffic police for the passengers. In this, they have been asked to avoid some busy parts of Central delhi and take alternative routes due to restrictions in view of the farmers' protest. On february 21, due to special traffic arrangement, movement from IP flyover towards A-Point and vice versa, at ITO Chowk, DDU Marg, BSZ Marg, JLN Marg, Shanti Van Crossing and Rajghat Crossing will be restricted from 9.30 am to 11.30 pm. Have been asked to avoid till 10 o'clock.

Tikri and Singhu border sealed

Officials said that due to road closure, traffic congestion could be seen in areas around the three border points of the national capital today. Heavy deployment of police personnel has been done at Tikri and Singhu border. Also both the borders have been sealed. It is noteworthy that the farmers' delhi Chalo march started from 13th February.
