3 children drowned in a barrage in Coimbatore; Tragedy when the heat went down to the water

In coimbatore, three school students who went to bathe in a barrage drowned because they could not swim. coimbatore district has been experiencing extreme heat for the past few days. Today the temperature was recorded as high as 43 degrees Celsius. Due to this, the people are suffering a lot. The district administration has also advised to avoid going out unnecessarily between 12 noon and 3 pm. Tourists have started flocking to water bodies to escape the scorching heat.

In this situation, water is stagnant at a height of 12 feet in the Mundanthurai barrage near Thondamuthur, Coimbatore. Its total height is 40 feet. Here today at 4 p.m., Sanjay (21) along with Praveen (17), Daksan (17), and Gavin (16), who is studying in twelfth standard at Dithipalayam government Higher Secondary school near Perur, went to take a bath. Praveen, Gavin, and Daksan, who did not know how to swim, drowned and tragically died while everyone was taking a bath. Based on the information provided by Sanjay, the fire and rescue department rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies of the three drowned bodies, and sent them to coimbatore for post-mortem examination.
