Self stated reason for supporting Congress...

Before the voting of lok sabha elections, political turmoil has intensified in Haryana. On Tuesday, three independent MLAs withdrew their support from the bjp government. This includes independent MLAs Sombir Sangwan (Dadri), Randhir Singh Golan (Pundri) and Dharampal Gondar (Neelokheri). He announced his decision during a press conference in rohtak in the presence of former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and state congress chief uday Bhan. Because of this, the Naib Singh saini government has now come into minority in the state assembly.

The current strength of members in the 90-member haryana Assembly is 88. The government now has two MLAs less than the majority. In recent times, some MLAs of Jannayak Janata party (JJP) have indicated their support to bjp, although JJP had withdrawn support from the coalition government in March. There are 40 bjp MLAs, 30 congress and 10 JJP MLAs in the assembly.

What reason did the independent MLAs give?

Independent mla from Nilokheri, Dharampal Gondar, while talking to the media, said that we are withdrawing support from the government. We are with congress now. We have taken this decision on various issues including issues related to farmers, inflation and unemployment.

Independent mla from Pundri Randhir Singh Golan said that we had given our support to the bjp government with honesty.
