For Mandi parliamentary constituency, Mahesh Kumar saini (45) son of Besar ram saini, village Sihan, Post office Gagal, Tehsil Balh, district Mandi has joined Himachal Janata party and Ashutosh Mahant (38) son of tara Chand Mahant, Post office Dhalpur, Hanumani Bagh, district Kullu. Filed his nomination as an independent candidate. No nomination was filed for kangra parliamentary constituency on the first day. On the first day of nomination, not a single nomination was filed for the by-elections to be held for six assembly constituencies.

Voting is to be held in Himachal on june 1

Nominations can be filed for the lok sabha elections and assembly by-elections in himachal pradesh till May 14. Nominations will be filed from 11 am to 3 pm. In himachal pradesh, lok sabha elections are to be held in the last phase on june 1. Voting will start at 7 am on june 1 and voters will be able to cast their votes till 6 pm.
