While being brought from assam to jaipur, a rewarded history-sheeter tried to escape by firing at the police. The police retaliated by firing at the criminal, injuring him. The police chased the criminal for two kilometers in Daulatpura near jaipur and caught him by shooting him in the leg. Actually, accused Rakesh Kumar had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 crore from a jeweler's son and when he did not pay it, he opened fire on him. Since then this history-sheeter was absconding. The police got input that the accused was hiding somewhere in Assam. After this input, a team of three policemen was formed from jaipur and sent to Dibrugarh.

ADGP Bajrang Singh police officer said that the criminal was arrested on May 13. Last night, while driving from guwahati to jaipur, the criminal asked him to stop the vehicle to go to the toilet. Then after using the toilet, he snatched the SI's pistol, fired and ran away.

He told that the police team chased the criminal Rakesh Kumar for two kilometers. After this the police opened fire on him. The criminal was caught by shooting him in the leg. After this, the criminal was admitted to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur.
