Punjab bjp has demanded from the election commission to increase the timing of voting. In view of the heat, there has been a demand to change the timing from 6 am to 7 pm. punjab bjp Chief sunil Jakhar has written a letter to the electorate on wednesday and has demanded to increase the voting period by two hours. sunil Jakhar has demanded this in view of the increasing heat.

Sunil Jakhar has demanded to hold voting from 6 am to 7 pm.   However, voting is being conducted across the country from 7 am to 6 pm. There are 13 lok sabha seats in punjab and voting will be held here in the last phase on june 1. In a letter addressed to the election commission, Jakhar said that punjab is in the grip of heatwave. In such a situation, it is going to be very challenging for the voters to vote amidst the scorching heat.

Severe heatwave is extremely dangerous for health and is especially challenging for children and the elderly. sunil Jakhar said, keeping in mind the increase in voting figures and the health of the people, I request on behalf of bjp punjab that the voting period should be increased during the day when it is cold and from 6 am to 7 pm. Voting should be allowed between 10 p.m.

Severe heat in punjab

Talking about the weather of punjab, the temperature here is being recorded above 40 degrees. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded in bathinda was 46.6 degrees Celsius, while it was 43.8 degrees Celsius in Amritsar, 41.7 degrees Celsius in Patiala, 43.6 in Pathankot, 43.8 degrees in Barnala, 42.8 in Ludhiana, 42.5 degrees in Jalandhar, 44.3 degrees in Firozpur. The maximum temperature was recorded at 41.0 degrees Celsius in Celsius and Gurdas.
