A big decision was taken regarding electricity subsidy in the cabinet meeting held in delhi Secretariat on tuesday (April 15) under the chairmanship of chief minister Rekha Gupta. After the meeting, Energy minister ashish Sood and Transport minister Pankaj Singh addressed the press. Energy minister ashish Sood said that the cabinet has decided to continue electricity subsidy for four major categories. This includes subsidy given to farmers, 1984 Sikh riot victims, existing domestic consumers and consumers associated with lawyers' chambers.

Energy minister ashish Sood said that the rumors of ending subsidy by the opposition are completely baseless and this decision is the answer to all those claims. Accusing the opposition of doing false politics, Sood said that some people are misleading the public, while the government is engaged in its work with full seriousness and responsibility. He said that the government will expose all the lies when the time comes.
auto or public transport will not be closed now - Pankaj Singh
The new Electric Vehicle (EV) policy was also discussed in the meeting. Transport minister Pankaj Singh said that until the new EV Policy 2.0 is not implemented, the old policy will remain in force. He said that the talk of any type of auto or public transport being closed right now is baseless. He also accused the previous government of not releasing EV subsidy and said that "The previous government did not release the subsidy amount on EV purchase, due to which those consumers have not been able to get their rights till date, in such a situation, till the new EV Policy 2.0 is made, the old EV policy will remain in force."
Meeting with delhi Jal Board
minister ashish Sood also held a meeting to deal with the problem of drinking water in the summer season. He wrote on Instagram, "Held a meeting with CEO of delhi Jal Board shilpa Shinde and other officials regarding problems related to drinking water supply in summer, flowing sewer and Janakpuri assembly. During this, he instructed the officials to ensure proper arrangement of drinking water supply and to repair the sewer immediately."
