How much are the people prepared for the 2025 assembly elections in Digha, the largest assembly constituency of patna district with about 5 lakh voters, and how much have the problems of the people been resolved. The ABP news team took stock of this. Let's know what is the ground report?

JP mla continuously since 2015

Till now, this assembly constituency has been continuously occupied by the NDA. Earlier JDU and then BJP's sandeep Chaurasia have been MLAs continuously since 2015, but the two biggest drains of this area are the drain from Rajiv nagar to Kurji bridge via Atal Path, which affects about two lakh people and the second is the drain from baba Chowk to raja Bridge via Anandpuri, which has not been improved yet. About one to one and a half lakh people are affected by this drain.

All this area is a crowded area of the capital Patna. There is dense population around the drain. people come and go through this road and also take in the foul smell of the drain. local people told that during rainy days, the situation becomes such that the water of the drain rises and starts flowing on the road. It becomes difficult to walk. nitish kumar has been the chief minister in the nda government since 2005, but till now the government has not paid any attention to this drain.

However, local mla sanjeev Chaurasia said that a big work is going to be done on it now. Earlier it was difficult to walk in this area. We are constructing a four-lane road by filling the drain from Rajiv nagar to Kurji Bridge via Atal Path, which is going to be built at a cost of 181 crores. The work of filling the drain from baba Chowk to raja Bridge via Anandpuri and building a four-lane road has started, which will be built at a cost of 105 crores.

What is sanjeev Chaurasia's claim?

sanjeev Chaurasia claims that we have done big works, which the public is seeing. Its tender has been done and work has started at many places. However, it is expected that this work will be completed only after the elections. local people said that now that the work has started, the drain will definitely not be visible and roads will be built on it. After this work is done, we can now proudly say that we are in the capital patna, but the current situation is very bad.
