There was an allegation of interference in the electoral process

This case is related to Ishakchak police station area of bhagalpur, where during an election program during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Ajit Sharma and his supporters were accused of obstructing government work and interfering in the electoral process. It was also alleged that they tried to tamper with the EVM.

This matter was very famous at that time and an FIR was registered by the local police on the complaint of the then magistrate. The hearing of the case was going on in the court of ADJ-3 (Additional district and Sessions Judge) deepak Kumar of bhagalpur district. After a long hearing in the court, the verdict was pronounced on Tuesday, in which the court acquitted all the accused on the basis of lack of evidence.

The court said that no concrete and conclusive evidence was presented to prove the allegations leveled by the prosecution. After this decision, Ajit Sharma said in a conversation with the media that justice has won and he has always respected the law. He also said that the allegations leveled against him were politically motivated and the public has always maintained trust in him.
