In this meeting, there was discussion on maintaining power supply, speeding up power restoration during disasters and promoting solar energy.
According to the information, in the meeting, delhi Energy minister ashish Sood directed all power companies to upgrade their old grid, lay new cables and use smart technologies, so that power faults can be detected immediately and resolved on time. He also asked the power companies to use data analytics so that the distribution system can be improved.
Emphasis on increasing the pace of installing solar panels
According to the Energy minister, the bjp government of delhi is committed to providing uninterrupted power supply to all the citizens and delay in power restoration during natural disasters will no longer be tolerated. In the meeting, Energy minister ashish Sood also stressed on increasing the pace of installation of solar panels in delhi under the 'PM surya Ghar Yojana'. He said that every power company in delhi should encourage its consumers to adopt solar energy and also asked to identify such areas and make arrangements to supply electricity from solar panels where electricity meters have not been installed yet.
Battery banks will be installed in other areas as well
Energy minister ashish Sood also directed to adopt the success of the battery bank installed in Kilokari, delhi as a model and said that battery banks should be installed in other areas of delhi as well so that power supply can be ensured even in emergency situations. According to Energy minister ashish Sood, any kind of negligence in electricity services in delhi will no longer be accepted and all necessary steps are being taken. So that Delhiites do not face any problem in the summer season.
