If you notice garbage accumulation in your area, whether outside your house or on the road, it can be frustrating. Instead of feeling angry, you have the option to report the issue using a government app designed for this purpose.

Just as it's your duty to maintain cleanliness in your home, it’s equally important to report litter and garbage in public spaces. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of how to lodge such complaints. Fortunately, there is an official government app that can facilitate this process and allow you to report various issues.

The app is called Swachhata-MoHUA, developed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. This versatile app enables you to report complaints ranging from garbage issues to dead bodies, all while being accessible in both hindi and English.

To get started, Android users can download the app from the google Play Store, while apple users can find it on the App Store. Once installed, log in using your mobile number and an OTP. The app may require certain permissions, which you can grant to access the homepage.

On the homepage, you'll find multiple options. To register a complaint about garbage, select the "Post a Complaint" option. You'll be presented with various categories; for garbage complaints, choose the appropriate option, such as “Sweeping not Done” for litter on the road.

After selecting the relevant option, you’ll need to provide details, including your location and a photo of the issue. Once you have filled in all the necessary information, simply tap on “Done” to submit your complaint. This simple process not only empowers you to contribute to a cleaner environment but also helps local authorities address sanitation issues effectively.
