According to sources former Australian batsman Dean Jones feels that MS Dhoni's chances of India comeback will get over if he fails to impress with his performance in the upcoming IPL 2020's uae edition. Indian Premier League Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel on Friday said IPL 2020 will be held across all 3 cities in the uae from September 19 to November 8.

Reportedly with the dates for the Indian Premier League 2020 all but finalized, MS Dhoni is all set to return to some cricketing action after over a year. Dhoni last played competitive cricket during India's semi-final defeat to New Zealand at the 2019 World Cup. Since then, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul have taken his place behind the stumps for india in limited-overs cricket.

Moreover Jones asserted that the door is indeed open if he does well in the IPL and that the extended break might prove very fruitful for him. Jones also raised his doubts over the presence of a 'finisher' in the Indian batting lineup. He (MS Dhoni) is an absolute superstar. He is ‘great’. So, I have always felt, with the greats, to tend to let them do what they want to do, but at the moment they are leaning towards K.L. Rahul and Rishabh Pant. But, India’s biggest problem is still a finisher. Who is your finisher? Hardik-Pandya yes. Just comes down to your balance who’s hot and who’s not," Dean Jones added.
