IPL Auctioneer fainted during the auction??


Mega auction for the next season of IPL started today in Bangalore. The first day started with Shikhar Dhawan, after which money kept raining on the players. When Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga's number came in the middle of the auction, IPL auctioneer Hugh Adams fell off the stage after gasping. After this, the auction was stopped for about 1 hour.


It was later told from the IPL's twitter that Hugh Adams had collapsed due to postural hypotension. He was treated by the medical team soon after the incident and now his condition is stable. After Hugh, Charu Sharma continued the auction.


What is postural hypotension?

According to the information, postural hypotension is a form of low blood pressure that occurs when suddenly standing after sitting or lying down continuously. It is also called orthostatic hypotension.

What is the treatment?

Doctors recommend drinking plenty of fluids, eating small meals, and using a cane or walker while getting up. This can help prevent dizziness and falls. It may also be better to slowly stand up from a lying position.
