All england Badminton: indian pair created history!!!
This is the first time that an indian women's pair has made it to the last 4 of the All england Badminton. gayatri Gopichand, daughter of indian badminton star and national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, has created history in badminton along with Treesa Jolly. gayatri and Treesa entered the semi-finals of the women's doubles category by defeating the world's number two Korean pair at the All england Badminton Championships 2022. This is the first time that an indian women's doubles pair has made it to the last 4 of the All england Badminton.
Treesa Jolly and gayatri Gopichand faced a tough challenge in the women's doubles quarterfinals. The pair lost the first game 14-21 against the world No. 2 pair of Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan of south korea but came back strongly in the next game. After this, the indian pair created history by winning the next set 22-20 and 21-15.

The budding indian had recently won a bronze medal at the World Championships and the indian Open title. Lakshya will now play the winner of Malaysia's Lee Zil Jia vs Japan's Kento Momota for a place in the final on Saturday. Lakshya's coach and mentor Prakash Padukone won the All england title in (1980).
