CWG 2022: indian men's TT team put up an emphatic showing!!!


Indian men's paddlers ensured another medal for india late on monday night. In the men's team event, india defeated nigeria in the semi-finals to reach the final. india won this match unilaterally and ensured at least a silver medal. 

Last edition's gold medalist indian team will face a strong singapore this time. 

In the semi-finals, the doubles pair of Harmeet Desai and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran defeated Bode Abiodun and Olajide Omotayo of nigeria 3-0 in a one-sided match to give india a 1-0 lead in the match. In the second match, there was a singles match, where indian legend Achanta sharath Kamal won the match 3-1. The third encounter of this match was also in singles where Sathiyan defeated Omotayo 3-1 to ensure a medal for the indian team.


Earlier, india started their campaign by defeating barbados 3-0. In the second match, india defeated singapore 3-0. In the last match of the group, the indian men's team defeated Northern ireland to enter the quarterfinals. india beat bangladesh 3-0 in the quarterfinals. So in the semi-final, the indian team defeated Nigeria. Now when the indian men's team takes the table against singapore on Tuesday, they will have a mental edge as they lopsided singapore in the group.
