CWG 2022: india gets another Gold!!!
The 10th day of the Commonwealth Games is also proving to be excellent for India. Along with winning the bronze medal for the women's hockey team, Nitu Ghanghas has also won the gold medal in boxing. Nitu defeated the boxer of england in the 48kg weight category. Nitu dominated the entire match and got more points in all three rounds.
The five judges gave points fiercely to Nitu. She was given 10-10 points by four out of five judges in the first round and was declared the winner 5-0 in the end. Anyone who saw Nitu's performance in the final will become a fan. She did not give a chance to her opponent boxer to recover even once in the whole match and kept on raining punches one after the other.
Earlier, Nitu had performed well in the semi-finals as well. She had hurled so many punches at the Canadian boxer that the referee had to stop the match midway and declare Nitu victory. A similar scene was seen in the quarter-finals as well. In the second round of the quarter-finals, the referee stopped the match and declared Nitu a victory. Nitu participated in the Commonwealth Games for the first time and for the first time she won the gold medal.
